Then go to the responsible tourism awards website and nominate them for a responsible tourism award. The awards are now in their 8th year and recognise those who inspire change and innovation in the tourism industry. Nominations are now open and you have until June to nominate a destination or organisation for an award – the obvious one for divers is the marine category, but there are 8 categories to choose from.
It just needs to be an organisation related to a beach or other marine environment, for example a dive trip, turtle conservation or a marine eco-tourism trip. The awards have a fantastic new website where you can read more about the awards and previous winners too. The real strength of these awards is that they are nominated by you – the public.
